fox/hayward rayner/jacques mystery
- Bucklow Hill
Looking for any info on Renee V (Victorene..this was believed to be her first name in the family, with renee as a shortened version) Fox. Born Bucklow, cheshire, 1910. believe she had a few sisters (possibly: amy, marion, mabel) also thought to be some theatrical/dancing connection, but so far no evidence of this or her sisters.
Also looking for information on her husband Leslie G Rayner. they married in Romford in 1934. He was born in west ham in 1910. no information on hs family, other than that his mother was known as grandma jacques (or perhaps jakes?) in the family...why don't they have the same name? remarriage (not that anyone knows of) or reverted to her maiden name? or she never married? any info or suggestions?
mystery no. 2: on the bmd index entry for their marriage, renee is listed as for or hayward, but her birth comes under fox. this could be a mistake? family rift? or a stage name? i thought maybe a previous marriage, but she is ony 24 when they married so unlikely? any suggestions?
im totally bamboozled! please help!

Later censuses suggest most of the children were born in Buglawton. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who might know about this family. Thanks.

Mountfield Cheshire Still searching HELP!!
- Bunbury
I am still trying to find my Great Grandfather, John James Mountfield who was born about 1863 in Bunbury. According to the 1871 census he was a nursling with a family by the name of Woodfin, they were from Barrow, Cheshire. According to this census John James was born Alpraham but others state Bunbury. I am almost certain John James Mountfields parents were Henry Mountfield born about 1841 in Stoak and Eliza Ann Yates born about 1844 in Middlesex, London. I would really love to be able to tie John James Mountfield to Henry & Eliza. I think also Henry's parents might have been Samuel Mountfield & Mary Unknown, both born about 1804 Middlewich. The only other information I have is Hery had a brother William born about 1839 also in Stoak.
