I am looking for details of my father's parents who lived at 92 Brook Street. His mother's name was Lily Lawton (nee Rudkin) and his father's name was William. My father was called Sylvester and was born in 1924. I believe that Lily died in 1928 aged 26 and would like to find details regarding her death and also William's second marriage to Clara Roberts.

My grt grnd mother Ellen Donigan ,Donnigan m my grt grndfthr James Waters 25th July 1879 at the R.C church of St Lawrence Park St, Birkenhead. Ellens address was Beckwith St, Birkenhead. ,her father Thomas( deceased )was a farmer. James was a coke drawer ,address Holme St Crook which is in Co Durham, he appears to have gone to Birkenhead to get married. They returned to Crook where they settled and raised their family. James his parents John Mary and his brothers had earlier come from Ireland , not sure if Ellen came from Ireland as census vary re her place of birth . Ellen's mother may have been called Ann. Ellen had 6 siblings, Sarah b1844, Peter b1845 , Daniel b 1852 Ann Cath b 1855 John b 1859. Would appreciate any info.many thanks

Hello, I am trying to glean information of any of the Hill family who lived in Cathcart Street during the 2nd W.W. Edward Hill age 21 married Ann Jane Barnes age 19 on 2 Nov 1896 St Peters church Liverpool, they were both living in Hawke St I have managed to go back as far as Edward Hill guilder in catherdral born 1801 and John Barnes 1804 1866 living in Hughes Str brass moulder (information inin 1861 census Is anyone else researching this family?????? My mother was Norah Hill who married Robert Llewellyn Jones c.

I have a Hannah Tarbuck (nee Davies) wife of James Tarbuck. Her burial is shown in her home village of Baschurch in Shropshire but her death was actually registered, along with that of her infant son William and 1 year old son James in Birkenhead. All 3 deaths were registered in DEC qtr of 1864 and all 3 were buried 14th DEC 1864. I am interested in finding out how all 3 came to die at the same time. Can anyone help?

Smith/Roberts family - Birkenhead
My ggggrandfather William Smith was a Mariner who owned a packetboat called something like "Betsy & Frederick", which traded between Birkenhead and Cork. He married Sarah Roberts (previously married to a James Fazackerly) and they had a daughter, Emily (b 1859). Sarah was born in Wrexham to Edward and Mary Ann Roberts.During the 1860's the boat went down with all lives lost, including William Smith's. Sarah ended up in Barrow-In-Furness and married a Thomas Wylie from Whitehaven - another Mariner.Any information will be greatfully received.

Born Birkenhead 13/July/1884 and listed as living with the Holbrook family at Menai Street in 1891. Her mother Ann, was sister to Eliza Holbrook nee Morgan, Ann died in child birth 1884. I have a Caroline Kemp marrying George Rutherford at West Derby Liverpool in 1912. Her fathers name was Fredrick Arthur Kemp born Oxton and registed at Woodchurch 1858. Fredrick was the son of Doctor George and Georgina Kemp, nee Clements. Lookin for news of this family, are they in your tree.

Met and married Eliza Morgan born Whittington 1856 and then living Windsor Street Biirkenhead. By 1881 living at Menai Street Birkenhead. Do you have either William or Eliza in your tree.

Alice Price married Thomas Mullane, following Thomas's death Alice married Leonard Catton, wirral, 1912. Alice owned or ran a fish and chip shop in the Birkenhead area in the 1930's. Alice had a daughter Elizabeth Alice Mullane (known as Lilly) Lilly moved to Southport were she lived with Ernest Jamieson 1928 to 1939. I guess Ernest had previously married someone else. Lilly and Ernest had several children together. Ernest Jamieson worked as a hotel porter. My uncle Harry, or Henry as he was christened was born in 1895 in Barrow in Furness, and when he was young the family moved to Birkenhead, where they had originally lived. The family was split up due to his mother dying quite young and his three sisters were put in an orphanage in Holyhead in North Wales. I know that Harry joined the army in 1914, but don't know what happened to him after the war, except that he wanted to emigrate either to Australia or America. If anybody has any info at all on either uncle Harry or the Mc carty family from that era I would love to hear from them. Many thanks .

Tracing information on George David Kirby b. abt 1830 married to Mary Ann Summer and had a son William who emigrated to Australia. The 1871, 1881, 1901 Cenuses put them as living in Birkenhead, Cheshire. I believe George was a Tea Merchant. The Census lists a son Francis T who followed his father into the Tea trade but can't seem to find William in any Censuses. William was born 1853 in Essex and died 1926 in Daylesford Vic Australia.
