Alice owned or ran a fish and chip shop in the Birkenhead area in the 1930's. Alice had a daughter Elizabeth Alice Mullane (known as Lilly)
Lilly moved to Southport were she lived with Ernest Jamieson 1928 to 1939. I guess Ernest had previously married someone else. Lilly and Ernest had several children together. Ernest Jamieson worked as a hotel porter. IF anyone knows anything about this family please get in contact.I would really like to know more about Ernest Jamieson.

Tracing information on George David Kirby b. abt 1830 married to Mary Ann Summer and had a son William who emigrated to Australia. The 1871, 1881, 1901 Cenuses put them as living in Birkenhead, Cheshire. I believe George was a Tea Merchant. The Census lists a son Francis T who followed his father into the Tea trade but can't seem to find William in any Censuses. William was born 1853 in Essex and died 1926 in Daylesford Vic Australia.

On 1881 census I see:
1. William Glazebrook married to Eliza j born abt 1898 and
2. Wiliam H Glazebrook born abt 1896 married to Eliza J
These two entries are confusing all entries shown as Birkenhead,Cheshire. From other information I know that Eliza Jane Byrom is her maiden name. Any suggestions??
