- Wilmslow
Hi
I have a Birth Certifcate of my GT Grandad william Leah said born 1848 Bramhall Cheshire, Said no father mentioned only a mother Harriet. so cant go further back with my Leah's. Now I think, and someone else found me information saying I could have the wrong Birth Certificate of William, I have Census of my william married to a Hannah Whittle that is the correct william, found him on 1881 census and 1871, said william was born Wimslow, on one census, and born Hyde on the other, Joseph and Rebecca may be his parents said they were born wimslow, found on BMD's and someone sent me information on them and their children, their was a William about 13 years old, could be my william, so am thinking now whether I should try and get the marriage certifcate of william and Hannah, to see if william had a father, or if it was this Joseph or not. Puzzled. what does other people think, or can anyone help me with this.
Appreciate any help at all thanks.
