My maternal ancestors were the Marrs of Wallasey.My great grandmother lived at Huyton Quarry in the mid to late 1940s, in a terrace house behind which was an area of waste ground with the Liverpool-Prescot railway embankment at the far end and main road, with a bus-stop, at the other. The Marrs of Wallasey were, I understand, the fish merchants and had three sons named, James, John and Peter. The daughters, Martha and Anne, married two brothers, Edward (my grandfather)and William (my great uncle) HOULTRAM, who lived in the Portico and Grange Park area, near Prescot. Any and all information welcomed and appreciated.

Hi I am trying to find any relatives of Joseph Edward Ryan who lived in 11 Demesne St Seacombe,he had 2 children May Agnes Ryan and a son named Arthur Joseph Ryan born 1902.
Joseph also had 3 brothers John,Joseph & James Ryan.I am trying to find out if Arthur Joseph Ryan married and whom.
I know the family was living at the above address fpr at least 40 years.
There is another branch of Ryans on my paternal side who where resident in Hardie Ave Hoylake area in about 1938,James Ryan married a Laura Kate Cooper and all I know from family lore that they went back and forth to South Africa and they had a son called Rex Ryan and I think an Audrey Ryan.

searching the family name of PICKIN.I know that John Pickin was buried 11th June 1716 in the churchyard. Thomas Pickin was a churchwarden and his signature is on churchwarden accounts 1799-1810.He also was shown as doing 'smiths work' and Catherine Pickin was mentioned for mending the cur{phis}. So they were all linked to the church.

She married a Richard Hollier/Ollier in 1809 in Sandbach and then had a child Mary Ann in 1810. Richard Hollier may have died soon after because she married Richard Hughes in 1819 and had another 5 children.
