His father Christopher married Mary Heap (parents Samuel Heap and Jane Ogden). Christopher came over from Ireland in the mid 1880s with his siblings and parents Thomas and Margaret (nee Trotter). Bachelor or Batchelor - Stalybridge
I am searhing for information about the Bachelor family. The 1851 census has Thomas Morgan Bachelor, head, and children Charles, Elizabeth, George ,and Thomas( these are spelt with the T in Batchelor). His wife Sarah does not appear. All the children except George (my immediate ancestor)were born in Stalybridge, he was born in West Bromwich, as was his mother. In 1861 Sarah and the boys were living back in West Bromwich. Checking the Cheshire BMD has not found any reference to the death of Thomas Morgan, or a marriage for Eizabeth. So at the moment I am stuck. Can anyone help with any other sources I can use to trace them.

William Arnold was born around 1872. He lived and married in Stockport, but wasn't born there. The only census he appears in says that he was born in Preston, but I can't find him there.
