Can anyone give any information about William Dawson who was a farmer at Fives Ashes Farm around 1860's. It was near Macclesfield Forest so I am told. His wife was Hannah.

Halliwell and Dunnes - Reddish
Hi. My father Thomas, Uncle Fred and Grandfather Frederick were all stonemasons practising their craft in the Stockport and Manchester areas prior to the second world war. Grandfather Frederick was born in Rochdale, Lancs in 1884 and his father Joseph was born in Wigan in 1840. My mother Florence, nee Dunne was born in 1916 and lived with her parents John and Florrie Dunne in Reddish Vale. At the time of the 1901 census John Dunne was a lodger at 19, Willow Street, Bradford, Manchester and was employed as a 'tapper' in the calico works in Reddish Vale. Any information as regards the Halliwells and Dunnes, particularly my grandmothers (Florrie Dunne's) maiden name would be gratefully received.

I am looking for my uncle Albert Kelly (b c1933), he lives/d in the Reddish area, he had 2 brothers, Ronald and Bernard Hewitt, both lived in Sale. Their father was also called Albert and their mother Lillian (nee Hewitt). Albert was a butcher around the late 60s into the 70s. I am tracing my family history and I would like to hear from uncle Albert or anybody who knows him, any information would be gratefully appreciated however small.

John Broadhurst - Ringway
I’m looking for contact with descendants of John Broadhurst, my g-g-grandfather. He was born about 1812 in Chelford, Cheshire. In the 1851, 1861 and 1871 censuses he’s listed as farming up to 61 acres in Castle Hill township in Ringway. 1) John and his wife, Frances (maybe ADSHEAD) had five children; Peter, Richard, Sarah, William and Elisha. 2) Richard, my g-grandfather, married Sarah Ann JONES and they had nine children; Peter Ernest, Jane Ann (Annie), Frances M (Fanny), Nellie, Sarah, John Rd, Gertrude and Mary. 3) Peter Ernest, my grandfather, married Elizabeth ASPIN in 1908 and they had three children; Amy, Ernest (my father) and Robert T. the 1901 census showed the Fairfield Hotel licensed victualler as William J. MITCHELL age 39 b.Liverpool. His wife Ellen 32 b.Liverpool & their son Harry(Henry) age 6 b. Liverpool. Gores Directory Lancs & Birkenhead 1900 & Kellys' Directory of Cheshire 1902 show the same. Family lived at Fairfield Hotel 292 Old Chester Rd, Rock Ferry. I am trying to trace my German side of the family. Great grandfather Albert Lapphen was born in Germany around 1858 but settled in England he was in the merchant navy. One of his sons Charles was killed on the Lusitania. His father Albert, mother Alice Featherstone. Children Albert, Charles, Robert, Margaret, Caroline, Emily, Sarah, Helen (Hallan)(my grandmother), Amelia. The surname chagned over the years to Lapphane.

Many of my relatives in Werneth lived on PoleAcre Lane, by PoleAcre Farm in Woodley. I have information on some residents in the area, in the late 1700's to the early 1900's. The names were Gee, Booth, Swindell, and not far from the farm were the Linneys, the Bardsleys and the Gregory's. John Britch & Hannah Copeland married at Rostherne Parish church on 13 Apr 1813. They had 6 children between 1813 and 1826.Elizabeth, Hannah, and James were baptised in Rostherne, and John and Thomas were baptised in High Leigh. I have no record forMary. Thomas married Mary Hart and they were my great 2 X grandparents. I cannot find any baptism details for John Britch and Hannah Copeland who would have been born about 1793. I presume they came from this area of Noth Cheshire and South Lancashire

Hi, I have been researching my family history now for about 6 years and have come to a dead end in respect of not being able go to the birthplace of my ancestors because I am disabled. I am interested in finding any information about Joseph Stoddard who I think was born in Mere, Cheshire. I don't know what year he was born but his son James was born in 1808. On James Stoddard's marriage certificate to Mary Snelson in February 1838, Joseph's profession is stated as Stonemason and living in Chelford. I also think he may be buried in Rostherne Cemetary. CARSON - Rudheath
Ann CARSON, born c. 1794 married John PERCIVAL in St Luke's Goostrey in 1824, they lived in Stublach. In census returns she said she was born in Budworth. I believe she had two brothers, John CARSON born c.1792, a witness to her marriage, who married Elizabeth GOUGH in 1833 and Samuel born c. 1797, who married Sarah. They were all farmers. Samuel said he was born in Rudheath. Their mother, Hannah was living with John in 1841 and I think their father may have been William of Rudheath Lorship who left a will in 1821. Further information sought.

Walter Littlemore - Runcorn
The only mention I have found of Walter is as a passenger from Liverpool to Canada in 1918, aged 4, with his mother Winnifred. He is listed as living in Canada 1915/16, but born in England, and Winnifred as having lived in Canada from 1905 to 1916. I believe his father may have been Harry Littlemore, b 1887 in Runcorn (parents George and Mary Ann). Harry had emigrated to Regina, Saskatchewan in 1911. Where was Walter born? Any help with shedding light on this mystery would be appreciated.
