My Father, Bernard Dutton of Salford used to stay with his Grandmother in Partington. He was born in 1903, Salford. We are trying to find her name. His father married an Edith Lowe, born Altrincham, but we have heard talk of Granny Finnegan. Ring any bells. Dad always said Granny's house had a cellar which was haunted!

Looking for info on William Kelly d.1918, and wife Caroline Franklin d. 1914. Caroline's mother was Mary Ann Jones who lived in Wales, on a small Island, probably the Isle of Man, in a place with Valley as part of its name. William's father was Roger Kelly. William and Caroline had two children, Phyllis and William who became Bernardo Children and came to Canada. Family lived in Port Sunlight and then Liverpool. William may have had a sister Lee or Lea. This is how my gr. gr. grandmother is described in the parish records of St. Thomas a Becket church in Chapel-en-le-Frith when she married Abraham Yates in 1828.In the 1851 census she is
aged 48 from Pott Shrigley, Cheshire - in the 1861 census she is aged 60 and from Mellor , Cheshire. Unfortunately she died before the 1871 census so I can't "choose" between the two ! Any help would be appreciated - thankyou.

Caesar AUGUSTUS and family - Poulton
I am looking for information on Caesar AUGUSTUS born 1817 in South America (ship's steward) and his wife Charlotte (nee ROBERTS) who married on 11 Oct 1847 at St John's Church in Poulton.
They had 3 children Casar who was born in 1848 and died 9 days later, Earl Maurice b. 12 Nov 1850, and Charlotte b. 3 Sept 1852.
I have now got all their details from the UK census and the BDM's for the family mentioned.
Earl married 3 times to Eliza A., Mary and Elsie. He had 4 children, Earl Maurice, Agnes, Lottie (Charlotte) and Elsie.
Charlotte married a Frank GIBSON and they had a daughter Charlotte.
I would like to make contact with anyone who is a descendant of Earl Maurice or his sister Charlotte. Here's hoping.

Allan Carswell & wife Jean Gemmell arrived from Neilston Renfrew in 1845 & became estate agent to the Leighs of Adlington.They had 9 children all of whom lived in the Prestbury area. Allan Carswell b. 1840 was a farmer at Parklane Prestbury before being bailiff at Lyme Park Disley. His son John was also bailiff at home farm Disley. Other children of Allan of Scotland were John of 'Light Alders' farm Disley , Margaret died Prestbury, Janet married Joeseph Handforth ,Jean married G.H. Mottershead, Thomas Civil Engineerwho married Anne Bradley,Robert who lived at Redbrook farm, William who was estate agent for the Leighs of Adlington then Davenport at Capesthornes who married Bertha Cartwright & Agnes who was a spinster & diedat Bollingrove.
Children of Allan Carswell of Butley b. 1840 were Jennie who married Sam Mellor of Hilltop farm Poynton, Eliza who married Rob Jackson farmer of Butley, John Bailiff of Lyme Park, William Bailiff at Lyme after John died in 1921.

Rowland Pulford - Pulford
John (1800-1864) and Marian Rowland (1798 - 1884) variously of Pulford, Gresford, Chester, Caernarvon, Liverpool, Bache House. Daughter Sarah J, son James and widowed Marian Rowland were all in Pulford in 1881, James farming. Samuel went to South America and died in Iquique, Chile in 1891. A Son Thomas Henry was born in 1842, married Elizabeth Woodward Lowe in 1872 and had Henry (born Gresford or Pulford 1872/3), Samuel F (born Pulford 1873-4), Thomas Victor (born 1877, Pulford), and 2 more after moving to Bowdon, ALtrincham, (Zillah Mary b 1879 and James Lawrence b 1881).
ANyone with any information, please let me know. I am not even sure where they were faming in Pulford. 1881 census just says Pulford.

He married Ellen Winterbottom from Bugsworth in 1899. Peter's parents were Joseph Sleigh and Mary Ford, they married in 1851. My Sleighs lived at Rainow until they left between 1904 and 1909.
