Jarvis
- Macclesfield
I am looking for some advice and relitives of James Jarvis (1862/65). His father was William Jarvis and his wife was Sarah Jarvis (1868 nee Wood from Mottram St Andrew)he lived at Whirley Rd then at Klondyke, they had 13 children, Jake, Alice, Arthur, Frances, Harry, Lily, Owen, Albert, Annie, Nellie (my Grandmother), Frank, Ada and Agnes. I am trying to find out where James came from, it is recorded as Macclesfield on the 1891 and 1901 census, birth year 1862, death and marriage certificates confirm this date but I can't find a birth record for him in Macclesfield. The new 1911 census filled in by James records his age as 46 therefore born 1865, there is a Jarvis family living in Station St in 1871 with a James born 1865 which could be a match. Does anyone have any information or suggestions on where I go from here?

Ancestors of James Lee and Charlotte Clough
- Malpas
The marriage of James Lee b1798 and Charlotte Clough b1801 was on 16 dec 1820 in St Oswalds Malpas. Charlotte is of Bickley parish and James is of Agden parish. I can see on a map Bickley but can't find Agden. I'm assuming they are fairly close by.
James and Charlotte had a son James 1821 in Whitchurch and settled later in Ashton Under Lyne where descendents eventually settled in Melbourne.
Is anybody researching these familes from Malpas and Are there any decendents of these two families still living in the area who may know of the ancestry of either of these two families.
TIA
Steve
