JONES, Roberts, Barnes. - Nantwich
George Jones, b. Chester c.1811, married c.1835 Alice Barnes, b. Warrington c.1808 and had children all born in Witton or Nantwich - Richard, George, Martha, Sarah and Charles Albin,my gt-grandfather, b. Jan 1844. George senior was a decorator, but it may be that Charles Albin became a photographer in Nantwich, because after moving to Hull, East Yorks, he had a son Charles who was my grandfather and a photographer there. Family lore has it that there was some connection with the surname ROBERTS. It is possible that C.A.Jones traded as C.A.J.Roberts, so he may have had a portrait-photographer's business in either surname whilst in Nantwich. Has anyone any information please ?
