Please can anybody assist? My grandfather was Henry COPE born in Wybunbury in 1869. His mother my great grand mother was named HANNAH WARBURTON who married THOMAS COPE in 1852 in Wybunbury.HANNAH was born in Malpas around 1831. I cannot find her birth certificate and the only other relative detail I have is from her marriage certificate stating her father is JAMES WARBURTON born in Wybunbury around 1801,occupation recorded as plasterer.Can anybody give me any more details about the WARBURTONS - they always lived in and around Nantwich in Cheshire.

JONES,Ralph, born c.1790. He was at Marbury in the early 19C as his daughter, Mary, gives Marbury as her birthplace. The family may have moved to Wharton, as Mary was married there. Ralph is on the wedding certificate as 'labourer', probably a salt labourer.

Piggott Family 1700s - 1800s - Marton Green
Our Pig(g)ott ancestors lived in Marton Green until the mid-late 1800s. They were farmers, and we would love to know where they lived. They may have owned or been related to another Piggott who owned the leasehold on a farm and a mill, mentioned inthe will of Ellis Piggott dated 1707. Would also like to know who the landowner was from whom the lease was bought. One of our ancestors, John Pigott was in the Cheshire Yeomanry at the time of the Peterloo Massacre in 1819. Any clues about why the family left the area would also be welcome.

My GGG Grandfather Ralph Manley was born in Sproston about 1780. He married Mary Davies in Nov. 1800 at St Oswald's, Lower Peover. My GG Grandfather was John Manley (1803-1883). He married twice to Catharine Clarke and later Frances Wakefield Dean. His occupation was given as Gamekeeper and he died in Lodge Lane Cottage, Kinderton.
