Gladys broadhurst married Bill ford - Hyde
Trying to find any information on my Grandma gladys broadhurst she was born in 1907 and died at an early age of 30 in 1940 I never knew her as I was born in 1946. She married a bill ford who I knew of a little bit, freind of the family I beleive. Gladys had a child in 1922 my dad Albert Harrison Broadhurst. Bill and Gladys never had any children togeather. Appreciate any information if at all possible.

Hi all
Trying to find my Joseph Leah born abt 1885 Hyde and/or a William Leah born abt 1883 Hyde, they were brothers, my grandad JOhn Leah brothers and were boarders at william Wallbanks house at 16 Francis st Hyde. There ages then were abt16.and 18. How long they stayed with the Wallbank family for???? They were Coal Miners then on the 1901 Census. would like to find out if possible where they went to after, did any of them get married and did they have a family?????

Appreciate any help if possible to find where these fittons went to?? they were brothers and sisters of my Grandad James Fitton born Hyde in 1892.On the 1901 Census they were living at 11 Lumn CourtShepley St Hyde with Mother and father Isacc Fitton and Sarah. These are the names I am trying to find .
Mary 23 Cotton spinner born Haughton Lancs, Amy 21 Cotton Weaver born Hyde. Samuel 16 cotton spinner Hyde. Martha 14 Cotton Weaver Hyde. and a Harry I was told was Marys son who was illigitimate then only 4 yrs old. Would like to find out if any of them married and had any children.

Edmund Wild(e) SMITH,(born Gee Cross c.1837, died Hyde 1912) son of JOSIAH SMITH and his second wife Sarah (probably nee Wild). Edmund's siblings were:-Thomas, Jane, Mary, Ann, William, Elizabeth Alice,and John (who later became a JP in Hyde).
Edmund was a Shoe merchant, he married Jane Cheetham, dau of Ald John CHEETHAM, Hat Manufacturer of Hyde. Edmund and Jane had children MARY ELLEN Smith, EDMUND CHARNLEY Smith,ALICE Smith and JOHN CHEETHAM Smith.Family lived many years at Charnley House, Albert Rd, Hyde and were still there in 1901. Edmund Wild Smith was Mayor of Hyde 1897-99. I should like to hear from any descendants, with a view to sharing information.

Hi, I am looking for information on James Barlow(b1902) my Grandfather. His father was Joshua Barlow (b1867) and was married to Annie. James had a brother, Oswald(b1900).
James married Elizibeth Morris (b1903)in 1928 and had a number of children(Stuart,John,Inez,)James address at the time of the marriage was given as 242 High Rd, Woodley, Hyde. Elizibeths address given at the time of the marriage was 30 Brook St, Hyde.
Elizibeth's father was Thomas Fielding Morris who I am also trying to find information about.

Tindsley, Miller, Mellor, Atkinson, Knowles, Wilson - Hyde
Researching my husband's family tree. Above names contained and connect with Hyde. His great grandmother was Martha Miller who married David William Tindsley. They are buried at Holy Trinity, Gee Cross. They had a son, Samuel, who died aged 13 and is buried with Martha's parents in St Thomas's on Lumn Road. The grave looks as though it is being looked after so there must be some relatives still in Hyde.

Looking for information about Mary Appleyard who married Thomas Miller at Manchester Cathedral in 1844. He was my husband's ggg grandfather. They had a son William who married Sarah Wilson and their daughter Martha Miller married David Wm Tindsley. One of Martha and David's children was Frank Tindsley who was my husband's granddad. There is an gravestone in St Thomas' Church on Lumn Road in Hyde which bears the name Appleyard. Does anyone have any information about any of this?

John Perrin, Peter Perrin and his son Peter were pork butchers in Hyde through most of the 1800s.Betty Marler married Peter Perrin snr.Between them there were alot of children.On a recent visit to St Geoges parish in Hyde I looked fro the family tombs of both these families but the old cemetry is completely desicrated and destroyed.Would love to have some lead on one of these families.My grandmother Emma Jane was a daughter of Peter Snr and was sadly buried in St Georges cemetry. My Grandad James Fitton (known as JIM)he had a furniture shop on the corner of Elizabeth St and Manchester Road Hyde. He died in 1955 then the shop was painted white changed into a dress shop and owned by a lady called Alma, I remember she had a Alsation dog called Kim. Would like to try and get any photos of the furniture shop when my Grandad had it if possible. Appreciate if any one can help me. thanks.

Hospital Lodge Geecross Hyde - Hyde
Hi my Grandad was John Leah he worked at the Hospital Lodge Geecross HYde cheshire as a caretaker. does anyone know of any photos of the Hospital, it was then probably known as The Isolation Hospital for Small Pox.It would have been before 1955 as thats when my Grandad died, but it may have been still standing then, probably not now though.

Hi everyone,
Trying to find one of my Grandads sisters.
Does anyone know of a Martha Fitton she was born in Hyde in about 1887. At 14 she was a Cotton weaver, on the 1901 census living at 11 Lumn court /Shepley St Hyde. I was told by my Mother that she married, may be to a Walter, but not sure, she had thrree children Irene, Ida, and Eric. Eric married a Sally dont know any dates or surnames though. would like to find out any information on Martha and family if possible??

Anne had two children by her late husband Alexander Dykes. These were Elizabeth Dykes, born 1841 and Henry born in 1846, both in Cheshire. The marriage led to the birth of my Ancester, George Eaton Dykes.

Looking for information on Mary TOLLETT (also spelt Tollitt) born c.1852 in Kingsley, Cheshire (I'm not 100% on Mary's place of birth but think it was Kingsley or somewhere near). Mary was the daughter of Joseph TOLLETT (born c.1827 in Frodsham) & Elizabeth TITTLE (born c.1826 in Mouldsworth or Tarvin). I know of 7 of Joseph & Elizabeth's children: James c.1850, Mary c. 1852, Rebecca c.1856, Ellen c.1860, Elizabeth c.1863, Emma c.1865 and Albert c.1871. Mary TOLLETT married Robert PARKINSON in 1876 in Westhoughton, Lancashire. Any information would be great. Cheers.
