FENWICK, in Cheshire
- Hyde
My great grand father was Edmund Fenwick, and there is evidence he was born in HYDE, Cheshire, in 1853. His father was Aaron Fenwick (Finnick?) born 1832, probably in Bingley, Yorkshire. However HIS father was William Fenwick, born Hyde, 1801. William died in Keighley, Yorkshire in 1881, so the family popped across the borders quite frequently.
William apparently married Mary RAGG, born 1801 in Hyde. Their son Aaron married Sarah Lee TOW, born about 1828 in Newton Heath, Lancashire. She married Aaron 25th April, 1852 in Newton Heath, Lancashire. However they had daughter Bertha Fenwick in Cheshire in 1852, William Fenwick in Cheshire in 1858, (who married Emily unknown, born Cheshire 1859). Edmund, born in 1853,also back in Hyde. If you feel you might have a connection with the above, I would love to hear from you.
