Amy Bell was 'of Chorley Hall' in 1739/40 on her marriage to George Burrey. Their children were: Charles (1742), Ellen (1746), Amy (1749), Elizabeth (1753), and Sarah (1756). Amy Burrey (nee Bell) was probably bapt. at Wrenbury, the daughter of Charles and Ellen Bell who married in 1713. Have any other F.H. buffs come across this family? Amy Burrey who was born in 1749, married John Edgely at Wrenbury in 1777.

John Joseph Owen - Chorlton
I am looking for a John (Jack) Joseph Owen who married my g grandmother's sister, Edith Elizabeth Minnie Mason, in Chorlton, Cheshire, in 1905. He was an Actor. Edith's brother, William Christopher Mason (Chris) was also an actor and I assume they met through him. I haven't been able to find John Owen's birth or his mother and father with any certainty. I would also like to find information about the Andrews Printworks adjoining the Mill,as I believe this was where great-grandfather worked as a(or the)millwright for about 40 years until retirement.

William & Esther had children Caroline, Josiah,Louisa,Jesse (James),Eliza,William and George. Their daughter Louisa married Peter Sykes of Gee Cross, Werneth, Hyde. Esther died 1850 and William in 1880 in Hyde, Cheshire.

HODGKINSON - Congleton
I am looking for William Hodgkinson and T Gerald Hodgkinson. They invented a marine direction finder in 1910 and this was a precursor to RDF and RADAR. Both were born probably in the 1880's. William, my grand-father went to India and was involved in the electrification of Kashmir in 1909. Gerald is known to have lived in Congleton around 1912 and probably remained in England pursuing his scientific career. I am keen to trace the origins of both which may extend to anywhere in Lancashire. Any help would be very welcome.
