I have very little to go on. My grandfather was named "Percy" Bray . My father was adopted. Percy was sent to Canada to marry Jessis. They settled in Point Edward Ont Canad. They had 2 natural children William @ Owen. Dad was adopted later in life Lesile Eric Bray. Percy died in the 40ths. Jessie many years later. Gramma Bray never talked of Englan her family or Percys. It was rummored that she was the stable mans daughter of german angestory. Percy was shipped off toCanada to I have no further info this is a huge very well kept secret. Anyone out there who could help with so little to go on I feel it's rather hopeless but one can only try. Thank you

Burrey: Acton by Nantwich - (Acton - Cheshire)
John Burrey and Mary Davenport married at Acton by Nantwich in 1803. A child, Amy, was bapt. in 1810 there might be others I have not traced. The Burreys seem to have moved to Chester; Amy was married there in 1830. They then moved to Liverpool, as Amy and her husband, John Speed, were in Liverpool by 1836. John died of asthma in 1847.

Thomas Needham and wife Mary in 1841 Census of Adlington. Address Whitely Green. Living with them Alice Warburton and children, Thomas,Robert and Martha. Robert was my G/G/G/father. He called his own son Thomas Needham Warburton so this might have been his own grandfather. Any other info on these Needhams? I note there was a Daniel Needham nearby. Was Alice Daniel's sister?

Nelly or Nellie Williams - (Alderley Edge - Cheshire)
Nellie Williams gave birth to an illigitimate daughter, Joyce, on 27 Sept 1921 when living on Old Hall Lane, Woodford. At the time, Nellie was a General Domestic Servant at New Hall which, with its farm, became part of AVRoe aircraft factory in the 1920's.
It is possible that Nellie also gave birth to a daughter, Jessie, in 1915 and died in Nantwich in 1926.
It is certainly known that Nellie's daughter, Joyce, was adopted when young, by William and Rose Massey of Dean Row.

Looking for MARTHA CLARKE - (Alpraham - Cheshire)
I think Martha Clarke (b.1795) came from Alpraham but not sure. She married William Jackson (b.1793) a basket maker on 31st May 1825. Witnessess were George Hassall and Hannah Jackson. They married in the parish of Baddiley. I think their first born child was Ann b. 1828. The marriage cert says Martha was born in Bunbury but there is no trace of her there.

Ann Critchley (1816-1896) was one of 5 daughters born to John and Alice Critchley in Ashton on Mersey. Ann's siblings were Sarah 1809, Mary 1813, Alice 1821, Elizabeth 1823 and Ellen 1826.
Ann had 2 children James b1841 and Alice b1849. There may also have been a John b 1845. The father/s of these children is unknown.
Ann married John Hamnett in 1853 and had 2 more children John 1858 and Ann 1860.
