Jephtha DAVIES
- Tre'r-ddol
Looking for any leads on the above, born in the parish c1814 according to the 1881 census.
The following *may* be his baptism entry but I'm not certain of it:
Baptism at Tre'r-ddol church: "(Entry Number) 21 (Year) 1814, (Date) July 10 Jephtha bastard of David Lewis, Tan'r allt, apprentice for a blacksmith, and Elizabeth Morris"
Jephtha appears to have migrated to the Tredegar area before 1834 when he became a coalminer and apparently married his first wife, Tabitha MARSDEN, in Bedwellty and produces one known child, Joseph born c1837. After Tabitha's death c1848 Jephtha married Sarah (maiden name unknown) and produces Elizabeth born c1851.
Does anyone recognised any of the above, pls?
