Reynolds Family - Fen Drayton
My 3 x great grandparents Thomas and Hannah (nee Offley) Reynolds lived at Johnson Street, Fen Drayton at the time of the 1841 census. Thomas was born in Fen Drayton in 1764, and although he was about 77 years old he was described as an Errand Man! His parents were William and Ann Reynolds, also of Fen Drayton. I would be very interested to hear from anybody connected with this family.

PARBLES family - Fen Drayton
I have an interest in the PARBLES family, especially if anyone can help me with Robert PARBLES b.1836 in Welney, Norfolk but later lived in Fen Drayton with the family of Robert and Elizabeth DING. He married local girl Emma Golding in 1858. The 1871 census shows them living at 7 Honey Hill. They had been married 13 years by then but do not seem to have had any children. After 1871 they disappear - can anyone help me with any information about them after 1871?

William SHerwood came to Fowlmere sometime before 1811 with his wife Elizabeth (nee Smith). They had four children William (1811-1811), Charles (1812-1880), Jane (1815-1889) and William (1818 - )at Fowlmere. Charles Sherwood married Mary (nee Perry)of Fowlmere in 1833 in Fowlemere and had a large number of children. I am one of these descendents. I am interested in any connections to either of these families.The second child of Charles and Mary Sherwood was Charles who migrated to Australia before 1868.

WAKELING/OAKMAN - Foxton
Can anyone do a look up for me, I am trying to trace a Lucy Wakeling who married Thomas Oakman at St.Lawrence Church in 1821. Foxton parish records are not available as yet, and on their marraige entry it should say if Lucy was a Spinster,Widow or whatever. I can not find her anywhere,not even in birth records. She was born about 1806 thats all I know. Can anybody help me.... It may even need a visit to the Church for assistance, I live in Kent so would not be able to look myself. Thankyou

Lucy and Thomas were married on the 20th October 1821 but microfiche does not say whether she was a spinster or widow. No other Wakelings listed for Foxton. Lucy's death isn't recorded but Thomas's is (1869). Banns only go up to 1818 on fiche. 8 children found in baptisms.

I am interested in the Bateson family of Foxton and Fowlmere. Specifically I have connections so far with John Bateson m Sarah Wrigt and their sons William Bateson m Hannah Harwood and another son Elias b 1768 m Ann Pink. William and Hannah had a son William b c1808 who married Elizabeth Barnard b c1805. They married in Foxton 25 Dec 1826 and had children - Josiah b 8 Oct 1828, Thomas and Sarah that I know of, perhaps two Thomas'. Josiah m Elizabeth Newman 27 Dec 1848 in Foxton . They had two daughters Hephzibah b 8 Nov 1849 and Lettice b 18 June 1852 before emigrating to Australia. Any information re connections or help with further dates etc would be greatly appreciated.

Grizel Apthorp married Barlow Trecothick in Boston Ma, and they came to live in Addington near Croydon Surrey. . I am researching the life of Walter David Guy born about 1869 in Parkstone, Dorset. After 1891 he went to Cambridge university and then from 1898 he was Minister at the baptist chapel in Gamlingay until about 1912. He married Mary Papworth Abraham and in 1909 they had a son, John Oswald. I had a correspondence with the minister of the chapel some 20 years ago and he said there was a photo of Walter in the vestry. It now seems the photo is missing. Any help at all appreciated. Judy
