Parish Records - St Andrew the Less (Barnwell)

Does anyone know where I can purchase the Parish records/or does anyone have access to the Parish Records for St Andrew the Less in Cambridge. I believe the district was also known as Barnwell. Surnames I'm interested in are Medcalf or Metcalfe and Casey.
Not able to visit the Records office as not living in UK.

Bradford Family 1800's

Hi - Am researching my family and have been led to a John Bradford born I think between 1840 and 1850. Trouble is there are loads of John Bradfords, all with same occupation (Agricutural Labourer in Fulbourn, Chesterton and St Andrew the Lees). He married and Amelia and had approx 8 children - one of whom was my Great Gran - Ellen Maud Bradford (who became a Cox after marriage) If anyone has any info on this family (or the connected Farrington Family) please let me know. Hi I have been reasearching my family tree and have just found out that my great grandfather was Thomas Free born in Castle Camps, Cambridge around 1856. He married Caroline or Carrie Lane from Abergavenny, Wales. This Thomas Free married in Wandsworth, London, and had three children (that is all i have found so far) Clara Free, Rosie Free, and Thomas Philip Free (my grandfather)who was born in 1898. My greatgrandfather was born in Cambridgeshire between 24th may 1884 and 24th may 1885. His name was George Herbert Morris. His father was Thomas Morris (mother Jane Morris, maiden name unknown). George married Ethel Ann Cawthorn at Chatteris, Cambridgeshire between 1905 and 1907. Ethols Parents were Fred and Mary Jane Cawthorn (nee Phillips). George and Ethel migrated to Australia about 1912. Any information about these people or their ansestors in England would be appreciated. I can provide anaustralian history if needed.

I'm descended from John Brightley b1791 Eldon, Norfolk (according to the 1841 census) and his son John b1815 in Littleport. John's son William (b1841 Littleport) later married Elizabeth Peggs b1841 in Chatteris, and they lived in New Road and Station Street,Chatteris. I am trying to determine the name of my great grandmother. My great grandfather was George Henry Lea, born on 5/8/1875 probably in Chatteris, Cambs. All I know is that his wife's name was Jane (she is listed as a mourner on his parents obituary) and that they must have married sometime between 1902 and 1910, when their son (my grandfather - Alfred Ernest) was born. I just can't find any record for their marriage!! If anyone can help, I would be most grateful.

Sarah Jane Allport, Jobe Hill, Wednesbury

Can anyone help. Sarah Jane Allport was born 12th November 1874 in the Union Workhose, Stafford, 1861 census shows her age as six years old. And i assume spent these first years there. Jobe Hill was born 2nd December 1869. They married 19th March 1904. They as far as i know only had the one son, Hector Hill, he was born 14th July 1904. He is my grandfather. Did anyone know this family when they lived at 13 New Street, Wednesbury. Hector Hill was also called Harry. Father was an engine driver in a steel works, which one?? Hector worked there for how long??, then lied about his age, so that he could join the South Staffordshire Regimnet in February 1921. Any help or information on my grandparent time in Wednesbury would be greatly appreciated.

Alexander McDonald

My great grandfather's sister Ann Prior married Alexander McDonald and went to live in Chesterton around 1873. They had a son Alexander Bertram born in 1871 and a daughter Beatrice Ruth born in 1874. Ann died in 1878 and her husband Alexander,a stone mason, who was born in Potsmacka, Jamaica, was living with the children in Huntingdon Road at the time of the 1881 census. In 1884 Alexander married again to Mary Jane Noble and had three more children, Alexander Charles born in 1885, Alexander Ernest born in 1887 and Emma Maud born in 1890. I have found all the children apart from Alexander Ernest on the 1901 census. I would be really interested to hear from any of their descendants.

My Gr Gr Grandfather Henry Essex was born in Chesterton about 1838. He moved to Midsx Poplar, married a girl from Shoreditch, and had five sons. One emigrated to America, Alfred, my Gr Grandfather. Henry had one brother William, b about 1842, and sixsisters, Charlotte, Susan, Allice, Sarah,Hephzibah and Louisa. I also believe that we are probably cousins to the Essex' who owned the Jolly Brewer, (still open- don't know if still Essex owned), and Essex Brewery in Milton, (closed 1921). Anyone who needs help with American lookups in California, please let me know, and of course, any info on the above, or back further, would be greatly appreciated!
