Alexander McDonald
- Chesterton
My great grandfather's sister Ann Prior married Alexander McDonald and went to live in Chesterton around 1873. They had a son Alexander Bertram born in 1871 and a daughter Beatrice Ruth born in 1874. Ann died in 1878 and her husband Alexander,a stone mason, who was born in Potsmacka, Jamaica, was living with the children in Huntingdon Road at the time of the 1881 census. In 1884 Alexander married again to Mary Jane Noble and had three more children, Alexander Charles born in 1885, Alexander Ernest born in 1887 and Emma Maud born in 1890. I have found all the children apart from Alexander Ernest on the 1901 census. I would be really interested to hear from any of their descendants.

NORBERRY Thomas c 1560-1629 - Cheveley
Thomas Norberrie married Alice IMYN at Chevely in 1582. Their baptism dates are probably too early for the register which starts in 1559. His father is possibly the Thomas Norberrie buried in 1591, and the Elizabeth Norberrie who married in 1582 and Ann in 1584 are probably his sisters. Has anyone researched this family via the parish chest, wills etc and managed to establish or disprove any of these facts?
