I am trying to find relations and descendants of CHRISTOPHER HAWKES. His profession was Agricultural Labourer, do not know what his parent's names were.
William was born c1807 his wife's name was LYDIA, I do not have her maiden name.
They had the following children: Mary Tabraham Hawkes, Sarah, Eliza, Susanna and Emma.
The family left Liverpool 4.10.1852 for South Australia.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Mansfield family marriage

Looking for marriage between Joseph Mansfield and a Mary ??? which took place before 1803. Joseph was born in 1775 in Needingworth, lived and died there. His wife shows in the 1841 census of Needingworth as being born out of county, so think she may be from Cambridgeshire somewhere. Does anyone have details of Joseph's marriage in Needingworth to a Mary? - or of his marriage in Cambs?

I am searching for info on John Simpkin and Sarah Ling who lived in Fordham, Cambs. They had William(1839), Maryann(1840) Robert(1842) Eliza(1844) and Susan(1846). Sarah was originally from Little Saxham,Suffolk.(Parents William Ling & Sarah Simpkin)and was first married to John Curtis. They had 2 daughters who died as babies, and Charles Curtis(1831) all born in Bottisham. I have been unable to find much info on John Simpkin. Any help would be appreciated.

Wife Elizabeth died in 1871 in Wisbich.

I am researching the Rowell family who lived in the Cambridgeshire area. William Rowell was born in Long Stanton in 1738. He and his wife Angess Green had a son John Rowell born in 1738 . John married Elizabeth Galltrop. Their son William Rowell was born 1767 in Stretham and married Elizabeth Day .Their son William Rowell was born in 1803at Stretham and married Ann Bull from Waterbeach. Their son Levitt Colin Rowell was born in 1839 and married Jane Murfitt. My husband is a descendant of Levitt's son William born 1862. William married Charlotte and had six boys, Albert, William, Edward, George, Stanley and Horace. Albert Colin Rowell was born in 1890 in Croydon and immigrated to Australia with his English wife (Alice Kezia Branch) in 1913.If you are related or can help me please contact me.

KIRTON, KEARNEY, BARCLAY, in Cambridge?

I found an old purse in a charity shop in the grafton centre in Cambridge, Cambs. It contains several old photos and notes and I can only imagine
that the elderly lady who owned it has passed away and the purse has
been discarded by mistake. amongst the photos are:
1. photo of 2 elderly ladies.... one dark, one grey/white with
glasses, with younger dark woman, Compton Acres, 30th birthday, 1976
on back.
2.press clipping of Riverside estate ALEXANDRIA, Scotland re funfair
causing old folks home misery
3. Letter to dairymen asking for cooperation over milk bottle fillers
4.photo of 2 older ladies, same as in pic 1, marked Bournemouth, May
1976
5. card from the shore, Millisle, from Joan and Timmy
6. pic of 3 children, boy and 2 older girls, all dark-ish and under 8
years at a guess, June 1976
7. diary page, Oct 1965, speaking of TOM DAVIDSON, CAROLINE
(Daughter?).

I have a reasonable amount of information about the Vinsen family who mainly came from Cambridgeshire. Henry Vinsen b c1808 married Mary Anne Blinkhorn b c1809 of Ely.They married in Bury St Edmonds. Henry's parents were William Vinsen and Mary Howe. Henry and Mary Anne had 9 living children that we have know of. Our branch is through their son Walter and his son Percy who married Florence Keer. If anyone has any further information on anyone related to these people I would love to hear from you.

His g.g.g.grandson says he first married an Elizabeth Dean/e/s prior to emigrating, but we can find no trace of this marriage. Any help gratefully received.

Came to australia i think 29 july 1854 on 'plantagenet.

Looking for info on John Willis

John Willis born ely 1810. His father was John Willis a chimney sweep. Married to a Mary? I am trying to locate some info on John and Mary. Her maiden name. When they married etc.
I have been unable to get any other info except for john jnr birth in 1810. Did they come to this parish from elsewhere?
