I have found Charlotte on the 1851 census for Wavendon, a spinster living with her brother-in-law, Daniel GRACE, born abt. 1792 in Shenley, Bucks. Abraham Williams
- Wendover
Looking for my G.G.Grandfather, Abraham Williams.I only have his Wedding Cert. on which he states that he was born on the Isle of Wight in 1856. I can find no proof of this. He says also that his father (also Abraham Williams) was a Baptist MInisterand his mother was named Clara Dixon Collicot. I have found a couple with these names who married in Wendover on the 5.3.1857. I do feel that they might be the right couple as two of his seven daughters, have middle names of Dixon and Collicot. All Iknow for certain is that he married Catherine Truscott in Melbourne in 1882 and had seven daughters. He is a mystery as I do not know why he came to Australia or if he came alone or with family. I do not know when or where he died. I do know that Catherine left Victoria (where she had family )and moved to N.S.W. with her seven girls and there is no mention of Abraham. Did he go back home? I can find no record of him dying in either Vic. or N.S.W. Possibly someone might let me know if I am on the right track, I do wish to find my mystery man.
