Hi - I am seeking info on Hezekiah Foote, born at Thornborough about 1748/9, who died 1848, and his family. He married Hannah Liney born C1782 (daughter of Thomas Linny & Mary Dillon). Is anyone else researching the Harris or Bayliss family, from Tingewick Buckingham? My main interest is in tracing any descendants from BENJAMIN HARRIS wife SUSANNA BAYLISS married in Tingewick 1804. Their daughter Benedicta, baptised 1814, was my gt gt grandmother, she married William Copeland in Derby. Benjamin was a soldier with the 14th Regiment of Foot and spent 16 years in the East Indies, I have obtained his army record & would love to know if any of their children were born in the East Indies, Benedicta was baptised in Tingewick, Buckingham, did she have any siblings???

Looking for leads to help me find the parents / siblings of Joseph Chapman born Towersey in c.1805. Marriage to Fanny Pratt in Beckley, Oxon in 1828 and children, Mary, Eliza, John, Ann, Elizabeth. He died pre 1851 census and is not present in the family home (Towersey) with Fanny and children. Lots of other Chapmans in Towersey, so there have to be some clues somewhere. William George of Twyford - Twyford
I have traced my g.g.grandmother Rachel George to Twyford and discovered her and her siblings from the IGI. Their Parents were Samuel George and Jane Eaton. However I unearthed another entry on the IGI submitted by a Church Member which lists a William George, who was supposedly born in Twyford and who married a girl called Lydia again in Twford in 1843. Neither of these entries are in the Parish records batches for Twyford. The submission also shows that he emigrated to Canada where Lydia died and that he remarried a woman called Mary Ann by whom he had several more children. I have found him in the 1880 Census of Canada living in Ontario. What I would like to know is where I can find confirmation of his birth, and marriage in Twyford.

My Grandmother, Harriet Ann Swabey was born in Cippenham in 1874 and lived in Upton cum Chalvey until post the 1901 census. Harriett married Joseph Albert Allen, also of Upton in 1892. Iam trying to trace the family of Harriet to track back before her birth. I know from her marraige certificate that her fathers name was James Swabey. However, the only families I can trace in the census show a daughter born in 1865, which is too early.
