HIGGS FAMILY
- Loughton
My family have been in Loughton since the early 1800's starting with Richard HIGGS and Elizabeth MAJOR. Their son William was my gt. gt. grandfather. My father lived in Bradwell Rd., Loughton with his family and then with my mother Kathleen (nee DOE) and then after her death in 1960 with my grandmother also in Bradwell Rd. I went to the little village school in Shenley Church End which is now a private nursery I believe but my father and many of my relatives attended it before me. There is now a Higgs Close in Loughton which is a great honour! I would love to hear from anyone from the village especially with family connections.
