Theo Stanley William Cook, known as "Stan", married Evelyn Maud Keene on 28 March 1936 at Grove Parish Church. He was the son of Albert Cook and Amelia or Emily Haines. Stan died on 17 November 1936. My ancestors were residents of Drayton Berkshire, between about 1700 ( probably earlier) and early 1800's. They seemed to be farmers according to Cencus and later were drapers in Abingdon. If anyone has any information relating to Hydes of Drayton or Abingdon, I would like to hear from them.

Isaac Winter was born in 1785 in Drayton, Berks. He was a builder/brick layer and parish clerk. He also seemed to witness many marriages. Isaac and Sarah's son Moses built many prominent buildings in Wallingford (now in Oxfordshire). Any info on the Winter family would be gratefully received.

My Greatgrandfather Thomas Flower was Blacksmith living at Earley in 1840s (on his marriage certificate). "Blacksmith's Cottage", Earley, appears in 1891 Census but with a subsequent person's name. Thomas's father John Flower was also a Blacksmith. Trying to (a) locate Thomas's home and (b)trace location of John Flower, Blacksmith, about 1830s onwards.

Looking for any info re.John Pizzey & daughter Mary Pizzey/Pezzey about 1830s +/- . Mary marr.at Sonning 1848 to Thomas Flower, Blacksmith, & prob.lived Earley. Later moved to West Ham area of London. I have no details of John Pizzey, Mary's father. Any info no matter how small, please.

ATTWELLs in Earley - Earley
I would be interested to hear from anyone with knowledge of the ATTWELL family who lived in Earley Court Cottages at the time of the 1881 census. John worked as a gardener aged 32; his wife Elizabeth (nee DAWKINS) worked as a laundress whilst caring for their children Ada Mary (b c1876)and John George Herbert (aka George b c1879). Amy was born there in 1881 after the census was taken.

BOWDEN, George - Earley
George BOWDEN was my gt. gt. grandfather born 1846. On the 1881 census he named his place of birth as Earlywood. He married my gt. gt. grandmother Jane (maiden name unknown) who was, I think, from nearby Coley, (although on the 1881 census he named her place of birth as Coolbrook, which cannot be found, I think this is what he meant as there is a brook in Coley). Who were there parents and siblings. Any information gratefully appreciated.
