Hello, I am looking for relatives of my paternal grandmother, Emily Harriett Baston, born in 1888 in Buckland, Berkshire, England. She married my grandfather, Edward Bingham, here in Canada in 1909. They had one son, Edward born in Buckland around 1905. As I understand family history, she was a Clarke before becoming a Baston. She came out to Canada and she and Edward had three more sons. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who think we might be related. I remember my father telling me she had sisters (step-sisters?) possibly named Ada and Mary (his memory was failingJ) who never married. I am interested in Richard WIGMORE who was born in Bucklebury Berkshire in 1826. His parents were Richard WIGMORE and Sarah MAY who married there a year earlier. Both had been previously married. In the 1851 Census, Richard WIGMORE was a Wheelwrightliving with his wife Elizabeth (BULLOCK), infant daughter Sarah Ann and his widowed mother Sarah,at a hamlet called Biles's Green, Higher Common in the Parish of Bucklebury. A son Richard was born in Bucklebury in 1852 then they moved to Reading where two more daughters Elizabeth Mary and Harriet were born in 1856 and 1859.

John Butler and Wife Mary settled in Baughurst HAM in about 1807, had their family there, and died there. However, I have been unable to find where they originated. John said, in the 1851 census, that he was born in Burghfield, BRK in about 1780, but he is not listed in the Burghfield PRs. I have not been able to trace Mary's maiden name. Can anyone help?

Lanfear Family - Chaddleworth
My wife and myself visited Chaddleworth this summer during the course of researching her family (Lanfear). This family originated in Wiltshire and spread into the surrounding counties (and much further). The churchyard at Chaddleworth contains the tombs of some of the first Lanfears to come into Berkshire from Wiltshire. Most notable being Ambrose Lanfear (b.1717) married to Martha Brown in 1746. There are also other family members buried in the churchyard including Thomas Lanfear who married Lucretia Burbidge in 1809 . They lived in Hungerford, but were buried in Chaddleworth. Some later infant deaths in the family were buried with their great-grandparents, Ambrose and Martha. Later family members were buried in nearby Avington, includingWalter Francis Lanfear (b.1818) who was the Vicar at Avington for many years.
