Saunders, Harris, Goom, Windsor - Windsor
My G-G Grandfather William Saunders was b1818 in Croydon and became a bootmaker. He was the son of Samuel Saunders. On May 28 1849 William married Elizabeth Bundey b1828 from Salisbury. They had Fanny Saunders b1850 Salisbury, Jane b1853 Holburn, Thomas b1856 Windsor, Henry b1858 Windsor, and Frank b1864 Windsor. Frank married Louise Rose Goom in 1895. 'Rose' Goom was the product of Thomas Goom and Elizabeth Elies? Frank and Rose Saunders had Rose Saunders b1898, Emm b1900, Edith b1901 and Frank b1902. Various marriages then produced Cobb, Pool, Harris, Fernley, Hastings and yet more Saunders. Any further information on any aspect of these people would be greatly appreciated, and reciprocated.

I am hoping someone can help me find information on William Stanley, born Windsor Castle, England. 1820. Came to Sydney, Australia in 1837, departing London on Barque Orissa,14th August 1836. Thomas Goodman was coachman to Edward V11 and Queen Alexandra. When he died his widow was given grace and favour quarters at Cumberland Lodge. my late father charles read (1914-1980)was a member of the household cavalry - lifeguards - during ww2. he had (so i have been told) some sort of military funeral, where 6 household n.c.o's carried his coffin and the state trumpeter played the last post. I only know very little about my father....he was only with my mother for a short time after my birth (1956) and the information i have comes from his next partner, if any one has any information at all i would be very grateful

THOMAS EDWARD MITCHAM b. abt 1843 - Windsor
I am searching for a Thomas Edward Mitcham who on the 1871 census states born Windsor, Berks, he married Mary Ann Lewer in 1865 and I cannot find him on any census prior to 1871 when he is married with children nor can I find him with his parents as a child. On his marriage cert. he states his father was also Thomas Mitcham a Brewer,I would love to be able find someone who could possibly have a brother or sister to Thomas Edward in their tree, in which case I would love to hear from you. There is no birth in index for Thomas Edward Mitcham either about 1843, so I am completely in the dark at the moment. Any help or info. would be appreciated. Thank you so much.

My great grandmothers maiden name was Dugan. We think her first name was ada. She was married in Windsor in around 1908 to Walter Hunt but can't find any record of her on a census before she was married, any one got any ideas as to how to find out where she came from? Someone in the family said shew as irish but don't know how accurate this is. We think she was about 26 when she got married but again not 100% sure of the accuracy!

Village shop - Winkfield
My grandparents and great uncle ran a bakery, sweetshop and village shop from about 1920 to 1930. The shop was called Wheatley and Horne which were their names. I have a lovely photo of them outside the shop which I would be willing to share.Does anyone know anything about this shop-is it still there? It was situated next door to where the circus later over wintered.
