His father was 76 when he was buried in Blewbury on 19 Nov 1826, giving year of birth C1750. It is possible he was the son of Edard Hughes and Sarah baptised in Bampton, Oxon on 20 April 1750. Bosley - Harwell
- Harwell
The Bosley family have been in and around Harwell since about the mid 1800s. I would like any information on them please. I have done a lot of work on the family tree, but I am trying to find out about the children of Mark Bosley & Louisa Read. Mark ran a Butchers shop in the village, in the late 1800s. Mark and Louisa had 6 children, William, Alfred, Ernest Mark (my husbands grandfather) Louise Maud and Mary Elizabeth and Frank. ErnestMark had 5 children, Ernest, Jack, Alan Douglas & Benjamin. I have come across someone called Sib who emigrated to Australia in the early 1900s but cannot find out anything more about her, I am told she was a sister to Ernest Mark, because his children say she was their aunt, but that is where the mystery is! that would make her either Louise Maud or Mary Elizabeth! Any information regarding the Bosley family would be appreciated.

Strange 1850/60
- Hinton Waldrist
I'm trying to establish whether an Authur Strange who married into our family is the one detailed below.
Searching various sites I've found a Norah Louisa Strange b 1860 at Bradfield (Berks, Hants, Oxon border) where an Arthur was b in 1854. This might therefore be the family as we have a photo of a Norah Strange. The 1881 census has an Aurthur with wife Elizabeth and son James 7 months at Hinton Glebe Farm, Hinton Waldrist, Berkshire.
The problem is that 'my' Authur married a widow Ellen Haselhurst Doune possibly ib Argentina in the late 1890's.
Any help on trying to sort this out would be appreciated.

Henry PHILLIPS
- Hungerford
Looking for details/history of Henry PHILLIPS. All I know about Henry is that: - he was baptised at Hungerford on 14th August 1803, the son of a John PHILLIPS, a shoemaker, and Ann RACKBORN - he was an ag lab - he married Martha DIXON at Shalbourne on 13 December 1832. Henry and Martha had at least four children: Henry John (1834), Charles (1835) James (1838) and Francis (1841). I am descended from James and his wife Jane BARNES (born at Chilton Foliat in 1839). Martha was buried at Shalbourne on 17th June 1844 and Henry remarried on 19th October 1846. His second wife was Elizabeth DEACON and they had several children. Does anyone recognise Henry or any of these other people, pls?

Ann RACKBORN
- Hungerford
Looking for information on Ann RACKBORN. I have no idea where she was born or baptised nor where she married her husband, John PHILLIPS. However in the early 1800s they were living in Hungerford and had three children baptised in the parish: Henry (b1803), Fanny (b1806) and Mary (b1809). Her maiden name is given in the baptism entry for Mary. The name RACKBORN appears to be an extremely rare and perhaps incorrect spelling, but others which are more commonly found are various combinations of Red-and Rad- and -born, -burn and -bone. Does anyone recognise Ann?
