I am just starting my family tree...and have a long long way to go. I am looking for any information on either of the surnames 'Wells' Or 'Thompson'. These are my grandparents names. I know that the 'Wells' were travellers and settled in Bourne End, Cranfield in the late 1890's to 1900's. Any info would be gratley appreciated.

His Father George HARRIS b abt 1776 Md Sarah COOPER (of?) in Marston Mortaine, Beds 1797 with children George, Samuel, Denis, Josiah, Emanuel, William, Eliza, Elizabeth. George's father William HARRIS md 1773 Ann AUSTIN in North Crawley, children George, William, John, Thomas, Lydia, Mary. I want to find where William's father John HARRIS Md Sarah (?) abt 1747 (Riseley, Beds or?) and was born abt 1724 and any other children(?). Can you help? I'm in England in East Yorkshire for a few more months.

Goodman family - Cranfield
Looking for info about the Goodman family - my earliest ancestor confirmed is Charles Goodman born 1768, wife Elizabeth Gudgeons. I want to find his parents etc if possible. Know he had children George and William - anyone know any others? The family were builders. I know that George's son Josiah became a bit of a philanthropist in Cranfield in later life although he lived in London. I am descended through Josiah's brother Charles.

Can anyone help me? I am trying to trace Robert Glover or his decendants. He is named on my baptismal certificate as my father. I was born in 1939 in Dunstable, and adopted in l941 when I was 18 months old to a couple in Newcastle. The Docking Heritage Group are researching a Glass Bottle Row in Docking, Norfolk, and have no idea how the street got its name. Does anyone know why Edlesborough's Row was so called?

Several members of the Stanbridge, later becoming Stonebridge family lived here, probably from the time that Nicholas Stanbridge inherited his father's farm in Stagsden (probably 1640 ish) till Lewis Stanbridge and his wife Sarah (nee Clark) moved toSutton in 1760s. I have several wills which link the Stagsden family to this line.

Thomas King of Dunton - Dunton
I'm looking for a Thomas King that was born in 1698 and died there in 1770; buried 31 Jan 1770 at Dunton, Bedfordshire. He married a girl called Sarah, last name unknown circa 1725 and she was born 1704, died 1767 and was buried in Dunton 16 Aug 1767. The only child I have listed is Thomas King born 7 June 1733 in Dunton and died in Little Gransden, Cambridge, England 27 Aug 1790. He married Sarah Townsend in 1758 in Cambridgeshire. I need to know who Thomas Kings children and parents (and descendants) are and the maiden name of his wife. Someone alleged on their genealogy site that this line of Kings goes way back to John King, Bishop of London so I need to prove as such.
