My Great Grandfathers were, JOHN SHOPLAND REED AND GEORGE HYDE, both lived in Caddington in the early years of the 1900's. George Hyde was the Headmaster of the school until 1932. My Great Grandmothers were, EMILY ANN REED nee GRAINGE and LOUISA HYDE nee PHILLIPS. I am actually trying to find out more about the REED family who moved to Gatehouse Farm, Caddington, from Highgate in London after 1901 and before 1914, but any information would be useful and welcome.

I have a Thomas White born Cotton End 1855. He was married and living in Ashwell Herts in 1881. I am not sure who his mother is? In the 1861 census for the Cardington Area
there is a Thomas White son of George White and Caroline. I have a marriage certificate for George and Caroline White fromerly Keetch. They married in 1841. I have a birth certificate for Thomas White born Cotton End 1855. Mother Ann White formerly Valentine. Father George White. I think that the George White and Caroline arethe actual parents of Thomas White my husband's GGrandfather born according to the 1881 census of Ashwell Herts at Cotton End. Coroline White died in 1864 and George remarried an Elizabeth Worboys in 1874 in Ashwell Herts. She was a widow he was a widower. Elizabeth White formerly Worboys was from Guilden Morden Cambridge. Thomas White was married in 1876 and living in Ashwell in 1881. His Father George White was living back in Cardington in the 1881 census with his wife Elizabeth White from Guilden Morden Cambridge.

My maternal family are the WRIGHT'S from Clifton, Bedfordshire. They were market gardeners, although towards the end of the 19th Century family members did branch out to become publicans, taxidermist, etc. but my grandfather George remained a ardent gardener; he married Ethel Maud Twelftree in Clifton in 1911. The family once owned the field where the Clifton Statty used to be held but my great grandmother sold it after her husband's death. Any information would be gratefully received.

I have in my family Mary Conquest, Jemima Conquest, Rhoda Conquest and John Conquest all born to Joseph Conquest and Mary Davis in 1750/1760s in Clophill Bedfordshire. Mary and Rhoda married two brothers Hartwell, one line of which I come from.
