Nelson Savage JACKSON was born at Sundon 23 Jan 1825 to parents; Ann JACKSON b 1806 at Sundon and John HARRIS b 1803 at Sundon.
Nelson married Sarah HORNE b 1827 at Tilsworth. They married in Sundon 8 May 1847. They emmigrated to Australia in 1847 aboard the SS GILMORE with 3 children and settled on the New South Wales south coast at Milton near Ulladulla where they raised a total of 12 children before moving to the north coast and settling at Knockrow near Byron Bay. They were involved in pioneering the dairy industry.

Thomas married Mary Wells 1818 at Bath, Robert married Emma or Mary Beasley 1814 and Barnet married Sarah Fower 1813. I do not know the birth place but as a lot of Studds's seem to come from Bedford I am hoping some one will have come across them.

My great great grandparents John and Mary GUY lived in Woburn between 1800 and 1857. John (born 1768 in Woburn) was the son of William and Hannah Guy. I cannot find any record of William Guy marrying Hannah, nor of John Guy marrying Mary. These marriages may not have taken place in Beds. Anyone able to help?

I've hit a dead end with Andrew Henley, father of William (b.1782), Richard (b.1785) and Joseph (b.1790). Andrew married Elizabeth Chevall (1750-1794) on 21/10/1772 and died 4/1/1824, but can find no birth record. Son William was an upholsterer - maybe Andrew too ?

In Woburn parish church, near where I live, there is a memorial to soldiers, nurses and doctors who died at the hospital set up in Woburn by the Duchess of Bedford in WW1.
