Looking for details on the ancestors of THOMAS SCOTT MARDLING/ MARDLIN, born in STEPPINGLEY in about 1779. His mother is shown as MARY MARDLIN on the IGI entry, but I am looking for his father. Thomas Scott M. was illegitimate and his father was ???? Scott. Does anyone have any information on Scotts from Steppingley? Also looking for birth of Mary Mardlin(g) his mother. I can't find her birth in Steppingley, does anyone know any other area Mardlings came from?

Oliver & Cook & Lee - Steppingley
Hi, I'm looking for more information about my 5G Grandparents, Thomas Oliver (a Farmer of Flitwick) who was buried at Steppingly on 1st Feb 1805, aged 82, with his first wife Sarah (d. Aug 1762) daughter of Thomas & Mary Cook. Their headstone still stands but is largely unreadable. They had 4 children Sarah, William, James and Thomas. By 1799, Thomas farmed at Warren Farm, Flitwick, and had married Martha Lee in 1764, at Flitwick. They had two more children, Ann and Elizabeth. Thanks Robert

My relatives are the wallers from stopsley area. The furthest i have got back to is Walter Waller who married Eliza Goodge and had children called Annie, George, William, Emily,louie, Agnes and Rose. George married Lizzie Church( i am not sure if lizzie is her christian name). I am also interested in finding living Wallers in the Luton area. I know that he had children called Ruby, Cyril, Leslie, Ronald, Phyllis, Bertha, Gladys and Grace. Gladys married and had children called Doug, Ray and Dennis, who moved to new zealand. Ronald and Phyllis also married and had children. If anyone can give any information on the above people or any guidance on finding information about them, i would be grateful.

The 1901 census has a HILLIER family at Valley Farm Farm House, consisting of George HILLIER (52)farmer, Matilda (nee Whitman,42) wife, and their children William Arthur (20), Gertrude Louisa (18) and Albert George (16). He married Mary (surname unknown) and they had 8 children, all baptised Swineshead: William 1754, Mark 1756, Mary 1758, Hannah 1760, Alice 1762, Dinah 1764, Henry 1768 & James 1771. Mark born 1756 was my great x 4 grandfather. He married Elizabeth Knowles in 1792 Ramsey. Mark & Elizabeth had 6 children:Elizabeth born 1797, Mary 1799, Mark 1803, Henry 1805, Elizabeth 1807, & Lisha 1810. Henry born 1805 was my great x 3 grandfather and he married Elizabeth Burgess in 1833 in March, Cambs. Henry & Elizabeth Atkins had 8 children, Joseph 1833, Phoebe1836, Elizabeth 1836, Mary 1838, James 1839, Emma 1841, William 1844 & Sarah 1847. Mary born 1838 was my Great x 2 Grandmother and she married John Willey in 1859 and they had 4 children: If any of these names are familiar to you, please contact me.
